BIM Modeler – Senior Electrical

Position Summary
Lynk Engineers is seeking a Senior Electrical BIM Modeler to support the development, coordination, and leadership of electrical system BIM models for commercial, healthcare, education, civic, hospitality, industrial, and mission critical projects. This role works closely with electrical engineers, designers, architects, and multidisciplinary project teams to develop accurate and coordinated construction documentation while helping establish BIM standards and best practices across projects.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Revit, technically strong in electrical systems modeling, detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in multidisciplinary BIM coordination within the AEC industry.
Essential Responsibilities
Develop and maintain complex electrical BIM models using Revit and related software platforms
Produce accurate electrical plans, layouts, schedules, details, and coordinated construction documents
Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and technology disciplines
Support power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and low voltage system modeling
Lead BIM coordination efforts and participate in clash detection reviews
Review and incorporate project revisions, RFIs, and coordination comments into project models
Assist in establishing and maintaining BIM standards, workflows, templates, and modeling best practices
Support engineers and designers with project documentation and coordination
Mentor junior BIM modelers and drafting staff
Participate in project meetings, coordination reviews, and occasional field verification/site visits
Maintain organized project files and support project schedules and deadlines
Qualifications
Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in drafting, BIM, engineering technology, or related field preferred
5+ years of BIM modeling experience preferred
Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit required
Experience with AutoCAD preferred
Strong understanding of electrical building systems and construction documentation
Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows and multidisciplinary project delivery
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
Commercial and institutional building projects
Healthcare or mission critical facilities
Lighting and lighting control systems
Low voltage and technology systems coordination
Navisworks or clash detection software
BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
Construction administration and field coordination
