Position Summary 

Lynk Engineers is seeking a Mechanical BIM Modeler to support the development, coordination, and documentation of mechanical building systems for commercial, healthcare, education, civic, hospitality, industrial, and mission critical projects. This role works closely with mechanical engineers, designers, architects, and multidisciplinary project teams to develop accurate BIM models and coordinated construction documents. 

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient in Revit, collaborative, and experienced in BIM coordination within the AEC industry. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain mechanical BIM models using Revit and related software platforms 

  • Produce accurate HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical system layouts, schedules, details, and construction documents 

  • Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and technology disciplines 

  • Assist engineers and designers with project documentation and model development 

  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings and clash detection reviews 

  • Incorporate project revisions, RFIs, and coordination comments into project models 

  • Maintain BIM standards, templates, and modeling best practices 

  • Support field verification, site visits, and coordination activities as needed 

  • Maintain organized project files and assist with project schedules and deadlines 

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accuracy and constructability of project documents 

Qualifications 

  • Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in drafting, BIM, engineering technology, or related field preferred 

  • 2+ years of BIM modeling or drafting experience preferred 

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit required 

  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred 

  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems preferred 

  • Understanding of construction documentation and multidisciplinary coordination processes 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills 

  • Ability to work collaboratively within project teams 

Preferred Experience 

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: 

  • Commercial and institutional building projects 

  • Healthcare or mission critical facilities 

  • HVAC and piping system coordination 

  • Navisworks or clash detection software 

  • BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud 

  • Construction administration and field coordination
