Position Summary
Lynk Engineers is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead the planning, design, coordination, and execution of mechanical engineering projects across commercial, healthcare, education, civic, hospitality, industrial, and mission critical markets. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing project teams, maintaining project budgets and schedules, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, organized, collaborative, and experienced in managing mechanical engineering projects within the AEC industry.
Essential Responsibilities
Manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through construction completion
Lead project planning, scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and client communication
Oversee the design and coordination of mechanical systems, including:
HVAC systems
Plumbing systems
Hydronic systems
Ventilation systems
Central utility systems
Energy-efficient and sustainable system solutions
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architectural, structural, electrical, technology, and contractor partners
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams
Review engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents
Monitor project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverable quality
Support proposal development, business development, and client relationship management
Participate in construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, field observations, and project meetings
Mentor and support engineers, designers, BIM modelers, and project staff
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company quality expectations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure
6+ years of mechanical engineering experience preferred
Previous project management experience within the AEC industry preferred
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD preferred
Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems
Familiarity with applicable building codes, energy codes, and industry standards
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Commercial and institutional building design
Healthcare or mission critical facilities

BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project delivery
Construction administration and field coordination
Client development and project financial management
